I was surprised at how nice these are. The wood is clean without knots or sap, or missing chunks. Often times with boards like these, you’ll notice that only one side is useable, but these are awesome, and both sides are pretty and would work for your project. The dimensions are accurate, and the corners are square. They take paint and stain, you can use them with your laser, or apply vinyl or HTV, or even stencil and paint. You could even fill it and adhere a piece of PET to the front and turn it into a shadow box. Very versatile and the only limit is your imagination.These cradled panels are smooth and nicely finished. They are ready for gesso if you want to use them for artwork. The cradles are not deep, but the wood is nice--not heavily grained, so you could stain it , leave it raw, or paint it. The backs of the cradle supports are wide enough to accept hanging hardware, so art created on these panels would not require a frame.Crafters--you could also use these to create serving trays. They are lightweight, yet sturdy.Great for artists and crafters!I am happy with the quality of these bare wood frames. I intend to use them for laser engraving, so was surprised to see they have the woodgrain going in different directions. One has horizontal grain and the other vertical. Using these for their intended purpose of canvas framing, that makes no difference and does not harm the quality. It was just surprising. I guess it indicates some hand work, rather than just spitting a bunch of products out through an automated process.The wood seems a good quality and I like that it is not finished with any kind of varnish or sealer. The wood has been sanded to be nice and smooth with nothing to catch on fabric. Overall, nice quality and good looking frames.These wooden signs are great to make a picture frame out of. I painted mines black to match my decor & plan to put family pictures in them to hang on the wall. The wood holds paint very well & it only took one coat of paint to cover the wood. You can use these for a variety of home decor ideas.These cradled panels are nice to paint on. The wood surface gives a different look than canvas and I am enjoying experimenting with the wood grain as part of the image. It doesn't warp, and is a firm surface.It would work well for many craft projects as well.Did you know that Leonardo da Vinci painted the Mona Lisa on a wooden board? Well, with one of these blanks you could be on your way to joining Leo in the Louvre.The plywood of the face of these panels is only 1/8" and 3 plies thick, but the 3/4" frame gives it all the rigidity it should need. The plywood in the panels I received was very smooth and without defects on either face.I’ve been laser engraving a lot of wood items and looking for more blanks that can be used for more sophisticated projects. These wood picture blanks give a nice option for engraving.What I like- well finished. I don't have to sand or do any surface prep before i start engraving- lots of flat area to engrave- The framed section around the back makes it easy to hang on a wall- fairly thin and light… easier to shipThis board is nice and smooth for a resin pour design and leveled. I only had to paint this with white acrylic paint before I poured my resin on.My resin leveled great and I had lifters on the bottom to allow any drips.
